Dr Rina Maguire, BVSc Hons 1 Dip ABVP ECM
Avian and Exotic Pet Veterinary Specialist
Dr Rina Maguire has more than 10 years’ experience working with birds, exotic species and wildlife. She is a Diplomat of the American board of Veterinary Practitioners certified in Exotic Companion Mammal practice. She graduated from Sydney University in 2006 and then proceeded with her specialist training in the New York. She has worked in referral and specialist avian and exotic animal only hospitals in Manhattan and Long Island, New York. Dr Rina was most recently a Zoo and Avian Veterinarian at Singapore Zoo and Jurong Bird Park for two and a half years. Dr Rina has also presented at multiple national and international exotic pet conferences in the US, Korea and Singapore and she has published many scientific articles including in the Journal of Exotic Pet Medicine.
Dr Rina is very experienced working with exotic companion mammal pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, rodents, all bird species including parrots (Psittacines), song birds (Passerines), toucans and hornbills (Piciformes), all reptiles (including snakes, bearded dragons, geckos, exotic lizards, turtles, terrapins) and non-human primates.
